Distributed around a space, first (7) and second (8) groups of infrared sensors (GOIS) are assigned to an access area. A pay-desk aisle (PDA) (6) is an access area with limited space. The first GOIS fits in the PDA. The second IS fits in an area (3) on the market side leading into the PDA.
