<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract an AC component of signal light by removing a DC component of stationary intense light from an input signal generated by photodetecting the stationary intense light and signal light at the same time and to amplify it by suppressing phase variation while preventing saturation with output with a wide dynamic range. <P>SOLUTION: A light receiving device 1 is equipped with a feedback amplifying circuit 2, a light receiving element 3, and a DC component removing circuit 4. An integrator 41 of the DC component removing circuit 4 makes a DC component, generated from a sunbeam etc., of an input current Ip generated by receiving light by the light receiving element 3 flow to the DC component removing circuit 4 and also makes only an AC component of high frequency generated by the light receiving element 3 by receiving the signal light flow to the feedback circuit 22.
