<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable with identification information capable of transmitting a response signal to a comparatively distant location by driving an IC tag by a sufficiently large power, and a cable power transmission monitoring device. <P>SOLUTION: The cable with identification information comprises an IC tag 16 which is fixed to a coating of a cable 10 or an accessory of the cable and records a prescribed identification information, a power supply antenna 22 which is electrically connected to this IC tag 16 and obtains a faradaic by electromagnetic field generated around the cable 10, and a power supply control circuit 26 which makes operate an internal circuit using as a drive power the induction current obtained by this power supply antenna 22. The IC tag 16, when received an inquiry signal by a communication antenna 30, is started by the transmitted power and transmits a prescribed identification information.
