<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which overcomes the speed restriction of nonvolatile memory of an inexpensive and low speed bulk storage and holds the reliability of the number of output sheet counter. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming devices comprises a reference register 202 which stores a numerical value for judging the finishing of a print job, a sub-counter 201 which is constituted of the nonvolatile memory and is incremented by each one output during the processing of the print job, a print finishing flag 204 which shows the finishing of printing when the print job is judged to be finished, referring to the reference register 202 and the sub-counter 201, and a main counter 203 which holds the accumulated number of printed sheets of the image forming device. When the print job is finished, and also when the print finishing flag 204 does not show the finishing of printing at the application of a power source, the value of the sub-counter 201 is added to the main-counter 203 to count the number of printed sheets. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
