PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum evaporation distillation apparatus provided with an inexpensive high-reliability noncondensible gas discharge means not using any vacuum pump to discharge noncondensible gases from the apparatus. SOLUTION: This vacuum evaporation distillation apparatus is the one provided with a vacuum distillation vessel 10 that produces fresh water by heating raw water in a vacuum with heat directly or indirectly supplied from a heat source to generate steam and condensing the steam and a fresh water discharge pump 30 that discharges the produced fresh water, wherein a gas extraction means (gas extraction pipe 17, ejector 23, or the like) that collects noncondensible gases in the apparatus and an extracted gas tank 16 that holds the noncondensible gases collected by the gas extraction means at atmospheric or subatmospheric pressure are provided, and the fresh water discharge pump 30 is used to pressurize the extracted gas tank 16 to at least atmospheric pressure or to nearly atmospheric pressure, and the noncondensible gases are discharged from the apparatus by pressurizing the inside of the extracted gas tank 16 by means of the fresh water discharge pump 30 when the noncondensible gases are discharged from the extracted gas tank 16.
