PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric double layer capacitor in which, even if a thickness of a polarized electrode is increased for incrementing an electrostatic capacity, an internal resistance is not increased. SOLUTION: At a substantial middle point in a thickness direction of polarized electrodes 12 disposed on both faces of a separator 13, a second collector 11b having a through hole 11c is disposed. The second collector 11b can be electrically connected to a first collector 11a by a conductive gasket 14b, and a plurality of second collectors 11b can be disposed at equal spaces in the thickness direction of the polarized electrodes 12.
