PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable cutting tool capable of operating a cutting tool main body in a stable state to accurately set a cutting depth at the time of window forming work. SOLUTION: The portable cutting tool is equipped with a stopper mechanism constituted so as to fix the revolving position of a circular saw main body 2 to a base at the cutting depth position of a saw blade when the circular saw main body 2 is revolved until the cutting depth of the saw blade becomes a preset depth. The stopper mechanism 53 has a stopper case 44, a stopper 45, a spring 46, a lever 48 and the like. The stopper 45 is pressed toward a lower stopper case 44b by the spring 46 but can be moved in the direction shown by an arrow through the hole of an upper stopper case 44a to be fixed to the arbitrary position of a link member 40. The hook member 43 fixed to the saw cover 5 of the circular saw main body 2 is provided so as to be made movable along the outer periphery of the link member 40 and the pawl part 43a locked with the recessed part 47 of the stopper mechanism 53 is provided to a part of the hook member 43.
