PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of reduction in diameter of an existing cylindrical concrete public pit constructed by assembling blocks, and the problem occurring at the time of repairing the public pit except for an invert, because of attachment and insertion of a pipe joint or the like into a lower end of the pit beforehand, under the circumstance that the public pit undergoes deterioration with the lapse of time at joint portions between piled blocks, and that roots of plants infiltrate into the joint portions to hinder functions of the pit. SOLUTION: There is provided a concrete pit repairing method, according to which only a PVC vertical pipe 7 is inserted into the public pit 1A having a vertical wall 5 of a vertically constant internal diameter. The PVC vertical pipe 7 has an expanded diameter section 6 at a lower end thereof, that makes internal contact with the vertical wall 5, so that a gap between the vertical wall 5 and the vertical pipe 7 is minimized. Then, mortar with high fluidity is poured in the gap to repair the public pit. Thus the bore of the vertical pipe 7 is kept unchanged in spite of the repair. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
