PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide spherical silver powder having satisfactory dispersibility and capable of obtaining satisfactory sinterability even when a conductor is formed by performing firing at a low temperature of≤600°C using paste, and to provide its production method. SOLUTION: A reducing agent-containing aqueous solution is added to a silver ion-containing aqueous reaction system to reduce and precipitate silver grains, thus spherical silver powder having a shrinkage percentage of 5 to 15% at 500°C, a shrinkage percentage of 10 to 20% at 600°C, a mean particle diameter of≤5μm, a tap density of≥2g/cm<SP>3</SP>, and a BET (Brunauer-Emett-Teller) surface area of≤5 m<SP>2</SP>/g is produced.
