<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistive element that, when forming a resistive element having a target resistance from its precursor, can easily adjust the resistance value of the precursor, and provide a precursor thereof and a resistance adjustment method. <P>SOLUTION: A precursor 70 has a serpentine resistance pattern formed on the surface 11 of a substrate 10, and at least three trimming wires. Further, having the resistance value increments serve as the precursor at the time each trimming wire is cut are arranged in the descending order, and a general term for a numerical sequence isα<SB>k</SB>, the numerical sequence that can be obtained through standardizing of these resistance value increments thus arranged, by using initial resistance values as a precursor when each trimming wire has not yet been cut, the precursor 70 is structured, such that it is identified by a geometrical progression satisfying the inequality expression 0.5×α<SB>k</SB><α<SB>k+1</SB><α<SB>k</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
