<p>The present invention is directed to an apparatus for transmitting power in an analyte test meter. In the present invention, an apparatus for transmitting power to a transmission is adapted to open and dispense test strips from a test strip vial in an analyte testing meter. The present invention is further directed to a method of transmitting power in an analyte test meter. In the method according to the present invention, power is transmitted from a motor to a transmission in order to open and dispense test strips from a test strip vial in an analyte test meter.</p> |
