PROCESS FOR PRODUCING HYDRAZONE COMPOUND

A process for producing a hydrazone compound represented by the general formula (5) which comprises the step of condensing a hydrazine compound represented by the general formula (3) with a carbonyl compound represented by the general formula (4) without taking the hydrazine compound out of the reactor. By the process, the target hydrazone compound of high quality can be obtained in a high yield without taking the hydrazine compound out of the reactor at all, the hydrazine compound being an intermediate which is unstable because of its structure and has the fear of influencing the safety of the worker due to its toxicity (mutagenicity).
