<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically replace old address data in member information stored in a member information file by new address data when an address is changed. <P>SOLUTION: Zip codes, which are identical though they represent different areas, are extracted by comparing an old zip code master file 5 storing area names, to which zip codes are assigned, in association with the zip codes before address change with a new zip code master file 50 storing area names, to which zip codes are assigned, in association with the zip codes after address change. Among address data of member information stored in a member information file 4, a part common with the area names assigned to the old zip code master file 5 in association with the extracted zip codes is replaced by the area name assigned to the new zip code master file 50 in association with the extracted zip codes.
