PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the recognition of the reliability of the estimated arrival time. SOLUTION: The route guidance system comprises: the information acquisition means for acquiring the map data; the route search means for searching the route from a starting point to a destination on the basis of the actual traffic information recorded in the memory device corresponding to the map data, road links and the time; the arrival time estimation means for estimating the arrival time to the destination for the route; the information means for informing the arrival time; and the actual route index information means for informing the actual road index representing the searched route on the basis of the actual traffic information.
