PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for designing a multi-dimensional filter converging a solution by small repetitive processing and making a required memory smaller than a conventional one. SOLUTION: The method for designing the multi-dimensional filter is composed of a first step (S51) imparting an objective function and a semantic constraint for applying the theorem of Fritz Jone, and a second step (S52) imparting the objective function and the semantic constraint imparted at the first step to the theorem of Fritz Jone, obtaining a formula satisfying the theorem of Fritz Jone and acquiring a coefficient updating formula on the basis of the obtained formula. The method for designing the multi-dimensional filter is further composed of a third step (S53) imparting a plurality of extreme-value frequency points satisfying the theorem of Fritz Jone on a specified axis to the coefficient updating formula and making a filter coefficient to be obtained compute to the coefficient updating formula.
