PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat antenna in the antenna shape which is hard to be influenced by a user's finger at the time of conversation and by which high gain and wide band performance is assured and a cellular phone with the flat antenna built-in. SOLUTION: In the flat antenna 30, a radiation element 32 is in the shape of a bridge, it has a leg part 33, a leg part 34 extended by gradually narrowing width from both end parts from a longitudinal part in the perpendicular direction and becomes a recessed part 35 whose center part is recessed. A power supply point 31 is provided at a shoulder part of the bridge shape. Thus, the radiation element 32 becomes in the shape of which the width of both of the side of the supply point 31 and the opposite side of the supply point is wide and becomes a recessed part of which the center part is widened toward the bottom part 3. Then, the surface of the flat antenna 30 is approximately in parallel with the rear surface of the cellular phone 1, the longitudinal part of the flat antenna is arranged on the side of the top part 2 and the recessed part is arranged toward the side of the bottom part 3.
