PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna device that can change directivity by simple procedures, and can obtain a high radiation gain. SOLUTION: The antenna device comprises a feeding point 1 installed on a bottom board made of a conductive material, a linear element having four meandering elements 2 radially connected to the feeding point 1, high-frequency switches SW1-SW4 provided corresponding to each of the meandering elements 2, and a plurality of inverted L-shaped elements 3 that are oppositely arranged to each of the meandering elements 2 and are connected to the high-frequency switches SW1-SW4. The high-frequency switches SW1-SW4 are turned on/off, thus greatly changing the radiation pattern. And the meandering elements 2 have high impedance, thus reducing radiation resistance and increasing a gain in bidirectivity. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
