MAGNETIC DETECTING ELEMENT

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CPP-type magnetic detecting element having a favorable S/N ratio capable of more remarkably decreasing a noise from a spin transmisssion torque than before. SOLUTION: The quantity of a spin bulk dependent scattering of a multilayer film upstream part A and a multilayer film downstream part B of a multilayer film T1 of the magnetic detecting element is asymmetric, and a magnetic resistance variation×an element areaΔRA of the multilayer film upstream part A is made smaller than aΔRA of the multilayer film downstream part B. This can completely cancel out the spin transmission torque applied to a free magnetic layer of a dual spin valve type magnetic detecting element. The use of the magnetic detecting element enables the spin transmission torque applied to the free magnetic layer to make zero in principle. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
