PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a timber preservative or termite-proofing agent exerting high controlling effect on wood rot fungi such as Tyromycetes palustris FFPRI 0507 and Coriolus versicolor and/or termite-proofing effect on termite with a highly safe active ingredient, good in handleability and workability because of being in the form of an aqueous preparation, and also high in active ingredient sustainability. SOLUTION: The timber preservative or termite-proofing agent comprises a coconut oil fatty acid diethanolamide as the active ingredient.
