PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine and a method for accumulating a sheaf of bills such as securities. SOLUTION: This machine includes: at least one delivery line 15, 16 for supplying a magazine 3 for accumulating a sheaf of bills to first and second rotating drums 1, 2, 11, 12, alternately, wherein each magazine 3 has a bottom part 18 moved through a ring 17. This machine includes additional operating mechanisms 20, 21, 22 for independently moving the individual bottom parts of the magazines in the drums to respectively set the positions of the bottom parts of the magazines separately from the ring.
