PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a fraudulent act from being committed by using a utensil for which a plurality of LEDs are attached to the distal end section of a transparent celluloid plate. SOLUTION: In a token passage 5, two units of sensors 10 and 11 which detect the passing of an object such as a token M are provided in the moving direction of the token. Then, sorting is performed so that only regular tokens is received from among objects thrown in from a token throw-in port from the information from the two units of the sensors 10 and 11. For both of the two units of the sensors 10 and 11, light emitting sections 10a and 11a, and light receiving sections 10b and 11b are individually arranged on both sides across the token passage 5 to form a light passing type sensor which detects the object when the light receiving sections 11a and 11b do not receive light because the object interrupts the light from the light emitting sections 10a and 11a. Also, for both sensors 10 and 11, light emitting sections 10a and 11a and the light receiving sections 10b and 11b are arranged reversely to each other across the token passage 5.
