PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carpet which can obtain regenerated fibers of high quality with less impurities in the case of reprocessing the carpet and is hardly wrinkled in a folded state, in which pile does not easily fall off from a backing, and which is durable in long-term use. SOLUTION: On the back surface side of a carpet base material 3 composed of the backing 1 and tufted piles 2, a nonwoven fabric 4 is integrally superposed such that basis weight has a surface density of≥250g/m<SP>2</SP>and thickness is 2-5mm. The fibers of the nonwoven fabric 4 has the backing 1 and the piles 2 entangled with each other by needling and the pile 2 is prevented from falling from the backing 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
