<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To align the end faces of paper sheets simply without reciprocating vibration especially. <P>SOLUTION: This sheet folding device for folding a sheet includes: a sheet conveying path, a sheet conveying means, a folding plate moved substantially vertically to the conveying path and a pair of folding rollers, wherein the device further includes a fence supporting the sheet in folding the sheet and movable in the conveying direction and a conveying mechanism for pressing and conveying the sheet.
