<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing primary transfer failures, such as transfer omission, and curling of blades, using a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a plurality of photoreceptors 6 on each of which a toner image is formed based on image data; an intermediate transfer belt that is in firm contact with the photoreceptors 6, stretched endlessly over a plurality of rollers 2 to 5; a primary transfer roller 11 that transfers the toner images on the photoreceptors 6 to the intermediate transfer belt 1; a secondary transfer roller 13 that transfers the toner images on the intermediate transfer belt 1 to a recording medium in batch; and a cleaning blade 21 that removes residual toner on the intermediate transfer belt 1 after a secondary transfer. The surface friction coefficient of the photoreceptor 7 and secondary transfer roller 13 is set lower than the surface friction coefficient of the intermediate transfer belt 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
