<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide aβ-type Ti-Zr-based alloy which has a Young's modulus effectively reduced, while securing equal or higher strength to or than that of a conventional material for a golf club head. <P>SOLUTION: Theβ-type Ti-Zr-based alloy includes, by mass%, 25-85% Ti, 10-60% Zr and 5-15% Cr so that the total content of Ti, Zr and Cr can be 95 mass% or more; has a matrix structure formed of a metastableβ-phase having a cubic system; has the Young's modulus controlled to a range between 50 GPa and 100 GPa; and has an internal friction controlled to a range between 1×10<SP>-5</SP>and 3×10<SP>-4</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
