<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic book device or the like for accurately predicting a time required for finishing reading a book. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic book device is provided with; a content management part 13 for correlating an electronic book with attributes of the electronic book and store the resultant data; history data 132 wherein a user's operation history of the electronic book is stored; a read speed determination part 14 for calculating and storing read speeds per attribute on the basis of the operation history stored in the history data 132; read speed data 140; and a required time prediction part 15 which specifies at least one of attributes of the electronic book stored in an electronic book storage means and refers to read speeds calculated and stored by the read speed determination part 14 to specify a read speed corresponding to the attribute, and predicts a time required for reading the electronic book stored in the content management part 13, on the basis of the specified read speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
