BIAXIALLY ORIENTED FILM, BIAXIALLY ORIENTED MULTILAYERED FILM AND MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially oriented film, that is excellent in dimension stability and is suitable for a base film of a magnetic recording medium such as digital data storage, etc., and a magnetic recording medium using the same. SOLUTION: The biaxially oriented film comprises a 40-98 wt% aromatic polyester (a) and a 2-60 wt% thermoplastic resin composition (b), both Young's modulus of film forming direction and of width direction are each at least 5 GPa and the sum of the both is at most 22 GPa.
