PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable, in attaching a laminate film on a substrate, the laminate linear pressure to be kept at a constant. SOLUTION: In a laminator equipped with a lower laminate roll 1 which conveys a substrate 5 and an upper laminate roll 2 which presses a laminate film 6 against the substrate between it and the lower laminate roll, by furnishing the laminator with first air pressure control sections 9A, 9B for the laminate roll equipped with driving sections 4A, 4B for the upper laminate roll rotating shaft which drive the rotating shaft of the upper laminate roll to the lower laminate roll side according to the air pressure and which give predetermined air pressures to the driving sections of the upper laminate roll rotating shaft from the air pressure source and second air pressure control sections 10A, 10B for the laminate roll and by, according to the width of the substrate, connecting the first or second air pressure control sections for the laminate roll to the air pressure source through a solenoid controlled valve 8 for setting pressure switching for the laminate roll, the laminate linear pressure of the upper laminate roll is kept at a constant even if the substrate width is changed.
