PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker with an inner pot, capable of preventing the pressure of the interior of the inner pot from becoming negative. SOLUTION: The rice cooker consists of the inner pot 4, an inner lid 6 for closing an upper opening of the inner pot 4, and a heating means 7 for heating the inner pot 4. The rice cooker also has a valve 9 for sealing or opening the interior of the inner pot 4 and a pressure sensor 10 for detecting the pressure of the inner pot 4. When the pressure sensor 10 detects that the pressure in the interior of the inner pot 4 is lower than the atmospheric pressure, the valve 9 is opened. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
