<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method for plasma display panel capable of displaying an image with good quality without generating a wrong discharging phenomenon even in a panel in which xenon partial pressure is increased. <P>SOLUTION: In a sustaining period, a sustaining pulse which generates sustaining discharge for light emitting a discharge cell with a predetermined brightness weighting is applied to a scanning electrode and a sustaining electrode.
