<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas treatment method capable of preventing the formation of ammonium nitrate in piping by removing at least either one of ammonia or nitrogen oxide becoming the forming factor of ammonium nitrate, and a gas treatment apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In a method for treating an exhaust gas containing ammonia and nitrogen oxide as impurities, a catalytic reaction process, wherein ammonia and nitrogen oxide are reacted by a denitration catalyst and converted into nitrogen and steam, is performed to remove at least either one of ammonia or nitrogen oxide from the exhaust gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
