<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of residual abrasive grains sticking to a surface of a shoe for a swash plate compressor. <P>SOLUTION: For the shoe manufactured in a hard barrel polishing process by an abrasive material which includes abrasive grains but does not include soft particles, such as a rough barrel polishing process and an intermediate barrel polishing process, soft barrel polishing is performed by a centrifugal polishing machine by using an abrasive material including soft particles which are particles of walnut shells, hard particles which are alumina fine particles, fats and oils, fatty acid, a surface active agent and the like. Due to this soft barrel polishing, the number of residual abrasive grains sticking to a sliding face part and spherical part of the shoe is reduced, and surface roughness is improved. In addition, seizure resistance of the sliding face part and a sliding face of a swash plate is improved, and a friction coefficient of the spherical part is reduced. Instead of the barrel polishing method, a water jet polishing method, an ultrasonic polishing method etc. can be adopted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
