PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wastewater treatment method which efficiently settles sludge and reduces the amount of generated sludge even when using a small amount of coagulant. SOLUTION: The wastewater treatment method targets treatment of wastewater containing at least nitrogen components generated from the production process of an electrostatic charge image developing toner, and comprises a process which removes the nitrogen components generated from the above production process by anaerobic treatment after coagulating sedimentation treatment or pressure floatation treatment.
