摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging device capable of reducing production of blooming. SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging device has an image area formed by arranging unit cells on a first conductive semiconductor substrate in the form of a two-dimensional array. The apparatus includes a second conductive signal storage region located in the first conductive semiconductor substrate for storing signal electric charges obtained by photoelectric conversion; gate electrodes located close to the second conductive signal storage region, and provided on the surface of the first conductive semiconductor substrate of the via a gate insulation film for reading the signal electric charges from the second conductive signal storage region; a second conductive drain region provided to the surface of the first conductive semiconductor substrate adjacently to the gate electrode; a second conductive embedded region located in the first conductive semiconductor substrate at a lower part of the second conductive signal storage region; and an electrical connection means connected to the second conductive embedded region.
