PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent intrusion of a boiling-over soup from an air intake port, by forming the air intake port 17 for cooling arranged in a front part of a drop-in type gas cookstove, on a front upper surface 1b of a cookstove body, without impairing an appearance of an operation panel 8R. SOLUTION: A downward recessed gutter part 173 is formed on the front upper surface 1b of the cookstove body, and the air intake port 17 is formed in a part positioned above a bottom surface of the gutter part 173. A sheathing 171 for covering the air intake port 17 and the gutter part 173 from above, is arranged on the front upper surface 1b of the cookstove body, and an air inflow port 172 is formed in a part of the sheathing 171 overlapping with an upper part of the gutter part 173, and air from the air inflow port 172 is sucked in the cookstove body from the air intake port 17.
