摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a local buckling performance evaluating method for a steel pipe for determining whether the steel pipe of a yield ledge model can be applied to a field for a pipeline or the like which requires superior local buckling performance. SOLUTION: The local buckling performance evaluating method for the steel pipe comprises a first step of acquiring the stress distortion property of a material having a yield ledge in the stress distortion property, a second step of determining a size relationship between hardening starting distortion and the local buckling distortion of the steel pipe in the stress distortion property acquired in the first step, and a third step of evaluating that the steel pipe can be applied to a structure based on a plastic design when the local buckling distortion is determined to be greater than the hardening starting distortion in the second step and for evaluating that it cannot be applied to the structure based on the plastic design when the local buckling distortion is not greater than the hardening starting distortion in the second step.
