PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the tip part of a guide bar for pressing down a nail head, from being caught by the tail of connected nails, and also to prevent the lift of the nail in a driving passage in a nose. SOLUTION: A magazine unit for a nailing machine is provided with: a magazine cover 21 facing a magazine base 18 and slidable in a nail feeding direction between a closed position where the connected nails are stored and held, and an open position where the connected nails can be charged; and a plurality of elongate guide bars 37 extending in the nail feeding direction, mounted to the magazine cover separably from the magazine base and movably in the nail feeding direction, and energized to press down the nail heads or the side faces of nail shanks of the connected nails. When the magazine cover is advanced into the closed position, the guide bar tip advances keeping a clearance to the magazine base. When the magazine cover is completely closed, an abutting surface of the guide bar abuts on a butting surface of the magazine cover and retreats, and at the same time, a projecting part of the guide bar comes off an engaging part and moves onto the base face side of the magazine base.
