PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer and recover a fluid such as waste oil A using the motion of a movable part of machinery such as a machine tool without causing structural complication and a cost increase of the machinery. SOLUTION: In a fluid transfer mechanism provided at the machinery with the movable part moving on a fixed locus, a pump for transferring the fluid supplied to and discharged from the machinery is connected to the movable part, and the pump is driven by the motion of the movable part to transfer the fluid. For instance, when the machinery is the machine tool and the movable part is a moving base 1 reciprocated holding a tool of the machine tool or a workpiece, the pump is to be a piston pump 4 connected to the moving base 1 and driven to advance and retreat.
