<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell device which can be formed in compact and small size as a whole. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell device adopts a fuel cell which uses a liquid fuel as fuel [for example, a direct methanol type fuel cell (DMFC) of MEA structure] and supplies a diluted liquid fuel to the fuel cell by diluting the liquid fuel (methanol contained liquid in the case of DMFC) by a diluting solution (liquid including water in DMFC). A first pump unit 1 is laminated in the fuel cell, or further, a second pump unit 2 is laminated, and the pump unit 1 supplies the diluted liquid fuel to the fuel cell by mixing the liquid fuel and the diluting solution and diluting the liquid fuel, and the pump unit 2 recovers the liquid or the like generated by electrochemical reaction in the fuel cell (water that can be used as the diluting solution in the case of DMFC). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
