<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device and an imaging method capable of carrying various processes without the need for using a particular sensor while obtaining a high cost reduction effect, and to provide an imaging element used for them. <P>SOLUTION: A pixel P0 without an ordinary color filter, two kinds of pixels P1, P2 respectively with particular filters including an ultraviolet ray eliminating function and an infrared ray eliminating function in place of the ordinary color filter are arranged by one pixel each to an imaging region 21 on which an optical image of an object of the imaging element is formed together with ordinary pixels R, G, B comprising photoelectric conversion elements provided with R, G, B color filters in response to the color arrangement of the Bayer arrangement. Further, one set of the particular pixels P0, P1, P2 is respectively provided to each of division areas 21a resulting from dividing the imaging region 21 into nine.
