PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ethylenic polymer having moldability and mechanical strength improved in well balanced state and suitable for the molding by any of various molding methods. SOLUTION: The ethylenic polymer contains 1-20C short-chain branches and >20C long-chain branches introduced to the polymer main chain and satisfies the conditions (a) to (d). (a) The density of the polymer is 0.880-0.970 g/cm<SP>3</SP>; (b) the melt-flow rate measured at 190°C under a load of 21.18N is 0.01-100 g/10 min; (c) the differenceΔEa [KJ/mol] between the flow activation energy Ea [KJ/mol] and a specifically defined activation energy Ea<SB>L</SB>[KJ/mol] is 1.5-12.5; and (d) the elongation viscosityλmax andΔEa satisfies the formulaλmax≥1.2exp(0.0721×ΔEa).
