PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve guide of a thread to respective thread guides by properly switching the opening and closing state of a thread tension guide according to the transporting position of thread feeding by thread feeding mechanisms in the case of automatic guide of the thread to the plurality of thread guids by the thread feeding mechanisms. SOLUTION: This sewing machine is provided with the thread feeding mechanism consisting of first and second thread feeding mechanisms. In the case of finally delivering a needle thread to a threading mechanism after automatically guiding the thread to each of the plurality of thread guards in order while transporting the needle thread held previously by a thread preparation path by the thread feeding mechanisms, the thread tension stepping motors of the thread tension mechanisms are drive-controlled coordinated with the feeding position of a second feeding member, that is based on the driving quantity of the second stepping motor driving the second thread feeding mechanism. Thereby, the thread tension part is switched to closed state at first timing requiring thread tension and is switched to opened state at second timing requiring no-tension.
