PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary device for exercise that can be reduced in size to the extent that it will become convenient to carry, can be inexpensively manufactured, and be made to perform the function of assistance by using an existing horizontal bar or the like as it is. SOLUTION: The auxiliary device 10 for exercise is used for exercise such as chinning arm bends by using a horizontal bar 2 positioned at a prescribed height. The auxiliary device 10 has a wearing portion 11 to wear the tool on the body of a practicer M and a horizontal bar-mounted portion 12 to be worn on the horizontal bar 2, and a load-reducing portion 13 provided between the wearing portion 11 and the horizontal bar-mounted portion 12 and intended to reduce the load of weight of the practicer during the chinning arm bends.
