Catalyst composition comprising as first cracking component in an amount from 0.5 to 40 % weight a zeolite beta having a silica to alumina molar ratio of at least 20, which is in the form of crystals less than 100 nm in size, a second cracking component in an amount from 0.5 to 90 % weight selected from (i) crystalline molecular sieves having pores with diameters greater than 0.6 nm, (ii) crystalline, mesoporous aluminosilicates having pores with diameters of at least 1.3 nm and (iii) clays, binding agent in an amount to 99 % weight and at least one hydrogenation component. Further is described a process for converting hydrocarbonaceous feedstock into lower boiling materials.
