<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a local guide system for displaying the detail information of a facility based on an image obtained by photographing the partial section of a notice board on which the map of a peripheral region is displayed. <P>SOLUTION: This local guide system is provided with a notice board on which the map of a peripheral region is displayed, an electronic notice board computer 10 equipped with a map database 107 in which the map information of the peripheral region is stored and a facility database 101 in which the facility of the peripheral region and the guide information are stored and an image recognizing server 30 equipped with a featured point database 301 in which the featured points of the map of the peripheral region are stored for successively receiving an image obtained by photographing the partial section of the notice board from a terminal, and for recognizing the location of the received image on the map by referring to the featured point database. The electronic notice board computer 10 receives the location information of the image on the map received from the image recognizing server 30, and retrieves a facility included in the received image and the guide information of the facility based on the received location information, and transmits the received information to the terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
