PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide function having excellent handleability, in a portable terminal having the guide function to a destination. SOLUTION: A portable telephone 1 has a DST setting means 11 for writing position information of a target arrival spot in a built-in memory part 251 and setting it as DST position information, a POS positioning means 12 for positioning POS position information which is the position information of a present spot, an azimuth measuring means 13 for measuring the terminal direction of the portable telephone 1, and a presentation means 15 for outputting the course direction from the present spot to the target arrival spot based on the POS position information and the DST position information in the memory part. The presentation means 15 has a constitution wherein an output level is changed corresponding to the magnitude of a deviation angle between the terminal direction and the course direction, namely, the output level is heightened as the deviation angle approaches zero, and the output level is lowered as the deviation angle becomes larger.
