PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of chamfering a vertex angle 3 of a projected corner pillar A by rotating grinder bits 31a, 31b at a high speed, wherein a chamfered section 4 is made inconspicuous to the utmost, and wherein an adhesive 50 squeezed out of the pillar is almost completely removed, and also to provide a device for chamfering the vertex angle of the projected corner pillar. SOLUTION: The method of chamfering the vertex angle 3 of the projected corner pillar A which is formed by bonding two plates together so as to have the vertex angle 3 by means of the adhesive, comprises the following steps. In the first step, primary chamfering is carried out by the grinder bit 31a having abrasive grain on a surface thereof.
