PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter apparatus for a pulse jet type dust collector which improves a housing efficiency of filters into a dust collector housing by increasing the housing number of the filters in the housing and increasing the total area of filter cloth; evenly and effectively takes in pulse air into the filters; improves structural weakness of the filters; causes no contact of the filter cloth to the adjacent cloth during contract/expansion operation of the filter cloth in suction/dedusting operation; and facilitates production of the filter cloth, and a production method of the filter cloth used in the filter apparatus. SOLUTION: A cage 30 constituting the filter apparatus 10 used in the pulse jet type dust collector, is formed into a vertically long cage forming an approximately regular polygon in a plan view. Filter cloth 20 to be mounted in the cage 30 is also formed into an approximately regular polygon in a plan view, and multiple bands 50 are wound around the filter cloth 20.
