PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building capable of effectively utilizing a site and eliminating inferior appearance and troublesomeness of system design. SOLUTION: A passage 9 in site communicating with a road 10 is formed between an external wall face 2 of the first story and an adjacent site boundary 11, and a column 6a positioned between a stair entrance 8 of external stairs 7 and the road 10 among columns 6 supporting an upper story external corridor 5 is positioned on the opposite side (adjacent site boundary 11 side) to a building main body 1 more than a fringe 14 on the side opposite to the building main body 1 of the external stairs 7 and is erected by ensuring width W2 required for evacuation between the external wall face 2 of the first story and it to ensure a passage for passing and evacuation facing the passage 10 through between the external wall face 2 of the first story and the column 6a from the external corridor 3 of the first story and the external stairs 7.
