There is provided a process for producing a cured coating film by crosslinking a crosslinkable aqueous resin with aqueous polycarbodiimide in the presence of a crosslinking accelerator made of metal carbonate soluble in water, aqueous ammonia or aqueous organic amine solution. According to the present invention, a cured coating film having a sufficient strength can be produced for a shorter period of time than conventionally.
